Ayesha in 10.2 – For moving up an impressive 70 places in the Effort Ranking Awards

Callum in 11.1 – For gaining several ‘CFP’s’

Family Fun Success!

We would like to say a big thank you and well done to all the families who have taken part in our Family Fun Challenges over the last few months. The hugely successful sessions included challenges using photography, arts and crafts and healthy cooking.

As the evenings were so popular, we will be looking to start some new sessions in the spring – look out for your letter of invitation in the post!

 

Year 9 Options Evening

The Year 9 Options Evening for students and parents/carers will take place on Tuesday 10th February 2015.

Please arrive for a talk at 6pm. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to visit our options stalls, set up in the Sports Hall, where you will be able to find out more about each course on offer and to discuss details with subject teachers.

Clifton Basketball Stars

Clifton’s basketball team showed off their remarkable skills competing in the Rotherham Schools Under 14 Basketball Tournament at Thrybergh Academy on Wednesday 13th January 2015.

The team played six games, which included four impressive wins!

Winning results were as follows:

Rawmarsh 2 v Clifton 4
Clifton 6 v Wath 0
Clifton 12 v St Pius 2
Thrybergh 2 v Clifton 22

They lost to two really strong teams in Aston (18-8) and narrowly to Wickersley (6-4).

Really well done to the whole squad who finished third overall and included Callum Burns, Said Jamal, Elton Tshuma, Edi Barha, Vadims Bulans, Ibrahim Ibdali, Luke Poucher and Waqas Akhtar.
