B-Fit UK

Last half term, several Clifton students were selected to participate in a mixed martial arts session as a reward for their exceptional behaviour. The session incorporated elements of Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Boxing, Judo and Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Daniel Hudson and Medhi Faroozi, professional personal training instructors who both in their own right are accomplished champions in the mixed martial arts field, led the students in several activities, including core fitness, sparring, bag work and take downs. More importantly, they shared their experience of dedication, hard work and resilience needed to become a top athlete.

The students showed an impressive attitude and behaved impeccably in the presence of professionals, listening and following the instructions given and training in a safe and mature manner.

Clifton school would like to thank Daniel, Medhi and Shane Beard, Owner of BFit UK for giving up their time to enrich Clifton students’ learning with their training and experience.

To see some of the students in action check out our school facebook page.

If you would like to see the activities and sessions are available at B-Fit Uk see there website. www.b-fituk.co.uk

Year 11 Leavers Assembly

Friday 10th June saw the Year 11’s draw a close to their academic time at Clifton School and this was celebrated with a leaver’s assembly to say their final goodbyes to staff, friends and the school.

Many of the year 11 students turned up to celebrate their time here at Clifton and a number of staff from the school attended in support of the students.

Students arrived early to have their photos taken in the photo booths that had been set up outside the Performance Hall, and then students sat inside and were part of a small celebration and presentation. The presentation included speeches from the Headteacher, the Head Of Year and the Y11 Form Tutors. Speeches were funny, warmly received and enjoyed by all of the pupils.

Top attenders, top CFP holders and top effort pupils were rewarded with cash prizes and certificates. The ceremony concluded with shirt and book signing and additional photographs.

It was truly a lovely way to say goodbye to this fantastic year and celebrate their achievements. We wish them all the luck in the world for any remaining exams and best of luck for their results day in August.

All the photos from the event can be viewed on our Facebook Page.
