A Summer Nights Drama

To get you in the mood for your summer holidays, it’s our sunshine soaked drama festival featuring talented performers from across Wickersley, Rawmarsh and Clifton schools.

The evening kicks off with our brand new production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in which a 1950’s holiday camp is on a collision course with a supernatural Ibizian beach party from the future – but where does the talking ass fit in ?!
After that get ready to enjoy musical theatre show tunes from Grease, Little Shop of Horrors and The Lion King and meet the family who have no time for anyone who is all Fur Coat and No Knickers, plus a whole performance promenade of drama, tragedy and comedy!

A sizzling summer’s evening of entertainment showcasing the very best of drama across all three schools!

Also Ice creams available in the interval.

You can buy tickets from our positickets site.

Clifton Cricketers

Our year 10’s attended a cricket cup match against a good Brinsworth side.

Dawood lost the toss and we were put in to bat opening up with Josh Woodcock and Dawood. After a few steady overs from the Brinsworth opening bowlers, Josh was bowled for 0 to a cracking delivery from Brinsworth’s most threatening bowler. In came Said who helped steady the ship with Dawood to a modest 39/1 from 10 overs. Both players played their selves in and started playing some brilliant shots putting on 80 runs from the next 6 overs. With Dawood stealing the show with a knock of 55 (including 7 fours and 2 sixes) and Said contributing 23 ( including 4 fours) pushing our total to 119/1 off our 16 overs.

With Brinsworth into bat it didn’t take our opening bowlers long to make inroads with Said breaking the opening partnership helped by a brilliant catch from Sohail. It wasn’t long until more wickets fell with Asif taking 2 wickets for 9 runs from his 4 overs. With Said coming back in the attack he took a further 2 wicket helped by 2 great catches by Josh Woodcock finishing with 3/18. With two overs left Luke Billen came into the attack and got the last 2 remaining wickets for 0 runs. Bowling Brinsworth out for 65.

All the lads played the game in great spirit and with great enthusiasm and will take some beating in the next round.

Massive well done to everyone that played, keep up the good work!
