School Closure – Tuesday 5th July

On Tuesday 5th July members of the National Union of Teachers intend to exercise their right to strike.

I regret to inform you that due to this action, I have no alternative but to close Clifton Community School to pupils on that day.

The decision to close the school is one which I take reluctantly and do not take lightly. However, due to lack of staff on that day, I cannot guarantee the health and safety of pupils and that has to be my primary concern.

I have made the decision to inform you before the weekend, in order to give you as much notice as possible.  Should the strike be called off, however, I will inform you by text message and via the school website.

A letter will be sent home to parents.

Please note: Year 11 pupils who are due to sit mock exams in Photography on that day should attend school for their exams.
