Clifton Community School – KS4 Results 2016
There have been a number of changes to the KS4 Performance Tables which have come into play, which mean that the declared outcomes for this year group cannot be compared like for like with those of previous years. The headline measures which will appear in performance tables will be:
- The progress across 8 qualifications
- Attainment across the same 8 qualifications
- Percentage of pupils achieving the threshold in English and Mathematics (A*-C grades)
- Percentage of pupils achieving the English Baccalaureate
The Progress 8 and Attainment 8 measures are new measures that the government have introduced this year to judge a school’s performance. It takes the performance of each student in 8 designated subjects:
|English||Maths||Ebacc 1||Ebacc 2||Ebacc 3||Other||Other||Other|
English, Maths, 3 Ebacc subjects (Science, French, Spanish, History, Geography, Computing) and 3 other approved GCSEs or equivalent.
The Progress 8 measure compares the students’ expected outcomes (based on KS2 attainment), with their actual outcomes, and gives the school a score which is the average of all Year 11 students’ progress measure.
|A*- C in English & Maths||39%|
|Pupils achieving Ebacc||3%|
At the end of 16-19 study 97% of students continued into education, training or moved on to employment.
