Clifton Students Go To Medical School

Three Y9 students from Clifton: A Community Arts School recently applied to the University of Sheffield for places on their SOAMS (Sheffield Outreach and Access to Medicine Scheme) course. All three were successful in gaining places and are now looking forward to the start of the course.

The Scheme runs from Y9 through to Y13 and offers support and guidance to students who are looking at making medicine a career. The students will be involved in various activities throughout the next few years and be supported with applications to the University at the appropriate time.
