Clifton Community Champions!

Sometimes it is hard to know how we would react in an unexpected or emergency situation. Three of our year 10 girls faced just that when they were with a person who needed urgent medical attention. They kept calm and collected, and remembering the skills they had learnt during valued PSE lessons, Molly, Chloe and Kyla knew exactly what to do: putting the individual into the recovery position, the girls phoned an ambulance and waited while it arrived, keeping the person alert and awake.

We are extremely proud of how the girls reacted to this scary situation and they ensured the individual got the emergency treatment he needed. Because of this, all three girls were presented with the “Clifton Community Champion” award – Well Done!

Year 8 Maths Project

Mr Harvey’s Year 8 maths class have been working extremely hard investigating the shoe sizes of students at Clifton to decide whether it would be a good idea to introduce branded shoes into the school uniform.

As part of the project, the students investigated the style, type and price of shoe, stretching their data collecting and processing skills to full capacity. After some excellent work, the group presented their findings to the headteacher Mr Hardcastle who was very impressed with the work they had produced.
