Model United Nations

Are you in Y9?

If so you may be interested in taking part in this year’s Model United Nations. It is a fantastic and fun experience that you would not want to miss. You will learn about different countries of the United Nations and represent one to debate and research a current world issue. You will work with students from other Rotherham Schools so will meet a lot of new people. There will be four visits with the last one held in the council chambers of Rotherham Town Hall.

The students who took part last year really enjoyed it.

‘It was very fun. I got to meet new people outside of school. If I got the chance to go again I would. I would recommend it to people who like to argue a lot.’

‘I really enjoyed going and I would love to go again. It helped me boost my confidence in public speaking and I met lots of new lovely people.’

‘Fun. Can we do it again? I learnt about different countries. It was enjoyable and a great experience. I recommend it for next year.’

‘I have enjoyed MUN because it has improved my team working skills and my confidence. I would recommend this project to anyone.’

If you are interested please come and see Miss Brown in S3 at break, lunch or after school.

Everyone is invited to the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

Lights, Camera, Action!!
A group of students have been working hard on their journalism skills today as part of the Clifton BBC School Report newsteam.  They started their day scanning newspapers for exciting articles to report on and then went off to interview people and film individual news reports for our final 'live' broadcast at 4pm.
The commitment and dedication from all of the students and staff involved really helped to make the day a massive success; we even got two of our pictures published onto the BBC School Report website!  Follow this link to see our team in action:http://www.bbc.co.uk/schoolreport/21875338
