Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by websites you visit. Sometimes these cookies are used to track your behaviour on sites and therefore the may cause privacy concerns. Clifton's website will create the cookies described below:
(random 32 character long hexadecimal string) - used by our content management system Joomla! to store information about your session on our website such as which pages you have accessed and the number of times you've clicked on a link. This information is anonymised and aggregated into values so we can't easily see individual progress, although it is not impossible to re-constitute this data from the standard logs kept by the webserver. We collect this information to see which pages are popular and what information you may have searched for. If you logon to the site for any reason, a second 32 character cookie will be set. These cookies will be deleted when you close your browser, and a new one re-created if you then re-access our website. If you prevent this cookie from being set in your browser, it shouldn't diminish your use of the site unless you need to logon.
cookiesDisclosureCount and cookiesDirective - These two cookies are used to record how many times the user has seen the cookies notification and to record if a user has accepted the use of cookies on our website. If you prevent these cookies from being set in your browser, it shouldn't diminish your use of the site, but you will be presented the cookie notification dialogue message each time you visit. These cookies will be valid for a year from the point you last accessed the site. If you visit again during that year, you will not see the disclosure again.
jce_advcode_(name) - these series of cookies are used by our website when you are editing it. End users should not normally see them, they are only legitimately used by our website authors.
Other cookies may be placed on your computer by modules we use to present audio or video files for example. These are developed by third parties, and while we have tried to make sure these don't infringe your rights, we can't guarantee they have your privacy in mind.
