Form Council

Involving every student.

Form group councils involve the whole form so every student in the school is a member of their own form council. Form councils are therefore an essential part of Clifton Council. This is where the students learn the important skills of taking part in discussions and being involved in decision making.

Sub Year Council

Each form council elects two members to represent the form in the council at the next level. Having two representatives gives each of them someone whom they can share the job and talk things through. Students in the form can also choose to approach the rep they feel most comfortable with when there is an issue they want to bring up.

Clifton Council

The Clifton Council is made up of Sub Council members from each year.

Meetings

Each Council aims to meet every four to six weeks. It is important the students know when their meeting will be held so they can plan them into their timetable. We plan our meetings in curriculum time, however we do our best to ensure this is done on a rota so it doesn't always affect the same lesson.

Minutes

Minutes are kept efficiently and are widely distributed.
