On Wednesday 29.3.17 a group of Y9 and Y10 girls attended, an event called ‘Exploring STEM for girls’ at Sheffield University. Girls from schools around Sheffield and Rotherham attended the event aimed at informing girls about STEM opportunities and careers.
The event included a presentation by successful women currently working in STEM environments followed by the main exhibition. This involved demonstrations and hands-on activities organised by Sheffield University, Sheffield Hallam University, STEM societies and organisations.

This is only a sample of activities experienced, all aimed at informing girls about STEM opportunities and courses available at further and higher education. A wonderful experience enjoyed by all.
