Clifton Cricketers!

Last week Clifton took 17 players to St. Pius for their first cricket match of the season.

The weather was perfect for the occasion, the sun was beating down on the wicket making it ideal for the batsmen, while a slight breeze from one end gave the seamers some assistance.

We batted first and while some were clearly getting used to the game, Ashley Hamilton played well to knock 14 of our final total of 54.

Not a huge total to defend and they had a few good batsmen, however we have some great potential in the bowling department with Zain Hassan, Sohail Khan, Harris Ahmed and Amaan Ashram all taking wickets.

St. Pius eventually knocked the score off with two wickets remaining but it was quite an exciting game.
Well done to those who took part!

Movement Evening 2016

This was the first time we have held our annual movement evening over two nights (next year it will be for three nights).

105 amazing dancers performed for a packed audience on both nights, performing to popular tracks such as Circle of life, Run the World and Rotten to the core.
It was lovely to see 25 of our male students performing this year. There was much variety from our Y7 to Y11 and our primary school pupils too, with everyone showing great showmanship throughout the evening. All students were proud and excited to perform.

We cant wait for next years show, new dances will be starting next week in preparation.

We hope everyone enjoyed the show and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!

All the photos from throughout the night are available on the school facebook and the Performing Arts Website, as well as all our event photography, but here are just some of our favourite images.
