This October, Clifton Community School is celebrating Black History Month!
Black History Month reflects on the achievements, cultures and contributions of black people in the UK and across the globe, as well as educating others about the diverse history of those from African and Caribbean descent.
Our students will be given the opportunity to learn about the lives of inspirational black men and women through our pastoral curriculum; they will also be encouraged to enter the ‘Loo’minaries competition, where they are required to create a representation of their black role model from a toilet roll tube and other recyclable materials.
To enter the competition students will need to send a picture of their completed model to Miss Stephen, alongside the reasons for choosing their luminary.
The deadline for the competition is on Tuesday 20th October and the winner will receive a prize!
