Performing Arts Week has started with a bang!  On Monday we had performances by Y7/8 Dancers and Y11 band The Jawbreakers in assembly, followed by Drama Club at break.

Tuesday was all about Y7.  During period 4 we invited musicians from Rotherham Music Service in to do a demonstration on different instruments to inspire pupils to learn something new.  The afternoon started with a beautiful recital on the electric cello by Stephen Donoghue.  Y7 pupils were utterly captivated!  Then after school we invited Y7 parents into the faculty from 4-5pm so that pupils could show them what they’ve been doing in Dance, Drama and Music since joining Clifton.  According to one Y7 it’s been the best school day ever!

Over the course of the week pupils can experience our varied extracurricular programme, with rehearsals and workshops at breaktimes and groups led by Y11 for younger pupils, there is something for everyone to get involved in.  Its all about encouraging pupils to take a risk and try something new.
