On Friday, our Spelling Bees, Tehmeed Mian and Keisha Kerr, buzzed to Cambridge University for the National competition of the Spanish Spelling Bee.
Both Tehmeed and Keisha competed against the final 100 students out of a whopping 28,684 students who entered in September and had to spell a selection of 200 words in one minute.

Competition was very close and our Bees only just missed out on taking home the crown. Both Tehmeed and Keisha did superbly well to be in the final 30 Spanish students of the Spelling Bee out of 28, 684 students who competed this year. Fantastic dedication to languages, outstanding work.

Both students also had the opportunity to hear talks by the Mayor of Cambridge. M.P. of Cambridge and a representative of the European Commission all of whom who were amazed at the skill demonstrated today and told our students just how far you can go when you learn a language in school.
