Artist of the week

Miss Green’s Artist of the week is Dasa Zupkova, Dasa has been working extremely hard in Textiles and created this piece by being inspired by Abby Diamond, She drew onto fabric in pen, Added some watercolour and stitched into it using free hand stitch on the sewing machine! Well done Dasa keep up the hard work! 
 

MIss Charlton’s talented student Maria Sidelkova has created a stunning acrylic study of a horse. She was inspired by the Artist Marcia Baldwin and used a wet on wet technique to create the smooth blending of colours. Even got voted as Miss Charlton’s Star for the week! Well done!  

Art Packs Now Available

At the beginning of term We offer Art packs for all students as at KS4 practical work will be set for homework each week and therefore it is recommended that students purchase the art pack to complete the work at home. Students who do not have equipment at home, will need to stay behind after school to complete their homework each week. The Art packs are now available for KS3 students who are keen to practice their skills at home or have an interest in art. The pack will last students through to Y11.
These can be purchased from Mrs Stocks in T11, ADT Workroom.  Payment can be made by cash or a cheque made payable to RMBC Clifton Comprehensive School.
We are now offering a pay weekly option for 4 weeks at £5.50 a week.

Artist of the week

Well done to our Artists of the week for outstanding effort and brilliant use of artistic skills in lesson.
Miss Green’s Artist of the week 

Hallina has created a Textiles needle felt bird inspired by Nancy Standlee, Fantastic work Hallina and neatly presented. Well done
Miss Charlton’s Artist of the week 
Nikolas has created a stunning piece of design work. He has started to design his Day of The Dead Textiles skull keyring.
He has overlay bright colours to create a range of tone, he has added lovely details to his work. Well done!
Miss Smalley’s Artist of the week 
Lamar is an Amazing artist!
Always listens well and puts 100% effort in to everything he does! Keep up the great work!

Artist of the week

Well done to our Artists of the week for outstanding effort and brilliant use of artistic skills in lesson.
Sarah
Sarah has made a impressive paper collage inspired by the artist Nancy Standlee. She has used control and skill to add a range of tones using different shades of paper! Well done!
Ester 
Ester Produces amazing and skillful work. Always turns up on time and well equipt and puts 100% effort into everything she does! 🙂 Super star!
Chelsea 
Chelsea has drawn a tiger face using white pen on black paper. The attention to detail is fantastic! Well done Chelsea keep up the fantastic work.

Artist of the week

Miss Charlton’s Artist of the week is the talented Caleb in Y8. 
Caleb puts in 100% effort in all his lessons, he has created this lovely masterpiece, he has designed and built up his very own mixed media Cell. Caleb has used lots of different materials to create a range of surface textures and with control, he has added lots of smooth blending of painted tones to highlight his detail. I think you’ll agree that his work is amazing! Well done!
Miss Green’s Artist of the week is Smilte in Y11 Textiles.
Smilte has created a fabric flower and applied paint delicately to create the soft petal tones, Smilte then machine embroidered areas of the flower. She then selected a contrasting background to present it on. Beautiful work, well done!

Artist of the week

Miss Greens Artist of the week is Charlotte.

Charlotte is looking at the theme human figure and has drawn a vibrant colour version of feet using colour pencil contrasting with the background to make it stand out. Brillaint work – Well done!

Miss Southorns Artist of the week is Sara.
Sara has produced a detailed colourful bird painting on fabric which will go onto her final piece. Well done Sara, Fantastic effort!
