I would like to extend a warm welcome to your child as they move towards becoming a student at Clifton Community School. I know it is a big step into the wider world and I look forward to working together in the years ahead to ensure that your child achieves success and develops as an individual.

We have a few very important dates for your diaries:

Wednesday 6th June –Open Evening

We have an open evening on Wednesday 6th June, which is aimed at Y5 students and their parents. This is an opportunity to meet teachers, students and experience some learning activities in the different subjects. You are more than welcome to attend this evening so you too can get to know the school.

Wednesday 20th June –Induction Day.

Students should arrive at Clifton for 8.50am through the main entrance where they will be directed into the performance hall.

Students should attend in their primary school uniforms.

If you have completed the biometrics form, then your child will be able to purchase a school dinner on the day (£2.25), if not, please send them with a packed lunch.

Students will be dismissed at 3:00pm.

Wednesday 20th June –Parents Evening

Following the induction day, we have a parents evening for all Y6 parents 6.30 –7.30pm. This is an opportunity to meet your child’s Head of Year, Pastoral Manager and most importantly, their form tutor, who will be a crucial person in your child’s journey through school and your first point of contact.

Monday 25th June –Rollover

Your child starts at Clifton on Monday 25th June.

They should arrive on that day at 8.30 in full Clifton uniform, fully equipped for their lessons.

Below is some information on Clifton Community School and hopefully the information will be able to help answer any questions you may have. Staff will happily answer any other questions you may have at the parents evening on 20th June or indeed on the open evening on 6th June if you would like to join us then.

Please fill in all the forms below by Friday 8th June.

Yours sincerely
